Award-winning travel journalist and editor

After five years working up to an associate director position in travel PR I decided to cross over and started a career in journalism. I spent a fun four years commissioning, editing and writing at Escapism, the UK’s largest independent travel magazine, and Foodism, London’s largest food and drink title. I was also contributing editor at luxury men’s lifestyle title Square Mile, and had the tough job of reviewing new Maseratis and Jaguars, or interviewing celebrities including James McAvoy. During my time at the magazines, I picked up several awards for my work, including the Young Travel Writer of the Year (2015 & 2016) and I was shortlisted in the Rising Star category of the BSME awards.

For the last decade I’ve been freelance, splitting my time between copywriting and journalism. You’ll see my work in the The Times, The Telegraph, The Guardian, Conde Nast Traveller, National Geographic Traveller, Lonely Planet and several glossy in-flight magazines. My Authory profile, below, includes some of my more recent features, from colour stories to round-ups, while the images show some of my personal favourites.
